Get on the Priority Services Register this winter

If someone in your home is of pensionable age, disabled, has a long-term condition, relies on medical equipment, has a child under five, or has a hearing or sight impairment, they can probably join the Priority Services Register.

It's free. Energy suppliers and the local electricity network operators each keep a register, and people on it can get warnings of planned power cuts, updates during unplanned ones, and extra support.

How to join

  1. Contact your energy supplier: most have a form on their website.
  2. Contact your network operator too. Call 105 if you don't know who that is.
  3. Tick the box to share your details with your water company, if the form offers it.
